Where Is My Menu Bar

By default Windows 7 does not show the Menu Bar in any of the windows or Internet Explorer 9. I think the reason for this was to reduce the clutter and provide more viewing area to the operator. You may see it temporally using a key stroke or can change it to be seen constantly.

TIP:  In either Windows or Internet Explorer you can see the menu bar simply by stroking the Alt key on the keyboard. When you are finished using it stroke the Alt key again and it will disappear or when you close the window it will go away.

In Windows if you want the Menu Bar to appear continually do the following:

·      Strike the Alt key for the Menu Bar to appear.

·      Click on Tools then Folder Options

·      Click on the View Tab

·      Put a check mark in the box next to Always Show Menus

In Internet Explorer you have to Right click in a blank area to the right of the address bar and put a check mark next to Menu Bar. While you are there, notice that you can turn on or off any toolbars that may be installed on your computer.
