Bypass The Recycle Bin When Deleting

If you delete a file you know that it will end up in the Recycle Bin and be available if you want to restore it. There may be times when you want to skip the Recycle Bin and permanently delete a file because it is to large and would overwrite any files that are already in the Recycle Bin or you are just sure you don’t need it any longer.

TIP: To skip the Recycle Bin while deleting, hold down the SHIFT key while pressing the DELETE key or press the SHIFT key while using the right-click Delete command.

MORE OPTIONS:  To bypass the Recycle Bin permanently, right-click on the Recycle Bin Icon, choose Properties, and then select the Do Not Move Files To The Recycle Bin option.

NOTE:  This same feature is available in Vista and works the same way.
